The Erasmus+ project InterCat on circular and accessible tourism has met in Patras (Greece) from the 28th of June until the 2nd of July to carry out the training activity Study Visits of the InterCat international consortium in Circular and Accessible Tourism in Greece. During these five days training, a total of 32 participants have attended several Study Visits on CAT and have evaluated the DiaTool developed by the project.
The opening of the project training in Patras has been in charge of the director of Ergasia, host of this training. The sessions have also included the presentation and evaluation of DiaTool, Destination Image Analysis Tool, an online and innovative tool that will work as an Observation Template on Circular and Accessible Tourism for VET training.
Among the different study visits that the training has include there’s the presentation by Mr. Georgios Pappas, president of the Economic Chamber of Greece, the visit to the Regional Tourism Service of Western Greece, to the agency Georgantas Travel, the presentation of the renovation of the city of Patras by the council of the municipality or the initiatives of the NGO InterMediaKT and the work on accessibility, tourism and human rights by the lawyer Mr. Anastasios Xenos.
All in all, there have been several study visits and case studies to put into practice the Diatool and improve this tool that will be presented, together with all the project’s results at the last project transnational meeting in Castelló (Spain) next October.
